SUMMARY:Computer Science for High Schools (CS4HS)
DESCRIPTION:ShadowTech is pleased to share an invitation to Computer Science for High Schools (CS4HS)\, hosted by AUT and Google. \nThis workshop is aimed at supporting digital technologies teachers with training in STEM subjects in New Zealand schools\, and creative ways to present these in the classroom. \nThe purpose of the conference is to upskill our valuable high school educators by presenting ideas to engage students with new technologies so students can be better equipped for the needs of twenty-first century learning.  Teachers will see emerging technologies first hand  and master new skills to help shape the future of computer science in their classrooms.\nDemonstrations and workshops include; \n\nartificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning\nbringing literacy to life with Minecraft\ncloud security and infrastructure\ngame development and robotics\nweb-based augmented reality\n\n\n​Teachers will be equipped with the ability to tap into the creativity and enthusiasm that many students have for technology.   \nClick here for more information and to register. \n\nEVENT DETAILS \nDate: Thursday 24 – Friday 25 November\nTime: Thursday: 8am – 7pm\, Friday: 8.30am – 3.30pm\nVenue: Auckland University of Technology (AUT) City Campus\nEvent Type: In-person workshop\nCost:  Free \n\nSupported by: \n    \n
